Rawpeat
Peat moss is partially decomposed mire plant - sphagnum moss. It developed over several thousand years, a result of decomposition, without oxygen, of vegetation.

The plant's large cell structure favours aeration and absorbs water like a sponge. Although peat moss does not contain nutrients, it does help retain nutrients from fertilizers by storing them and gradually dispersing them throughout the soil.

 Milled peat
Milled peat moss is harvested during May - August by method of surface (1-2 cm) milling. During the drying process the milled peat is given one or two turns. Peat is harvested by special harvesters and heaped into stock piles. Transferred to the factory raw peat moss is screened, milled and blended for the final product specification. Acid, pH 3.5 - 4.5. Irreplaceable raw material for use as a growing medium after being limed and fertilized.

It is an excellent general purpose soil conditioner, ideal for reseeding lawns, planting and transplanting. The water retention abilities of milled peat make it ideal for use as top dressing on lawns. With acid-loving plants such as a rhododendrons or azaleas it is ideal as a soil additive - improves water retention and soil aeration, stimulates root development. Mixed into flower beds and garden boxes adds humus which is essential for beautiful gardens.

All our products are based on our own raw material - dark peat. Humification grade of this peat is H3 - H7 (according to von Post scale i.e. from H1 to H10). Despite of the fact that dark peat is heavier for transportation many horticulture or landscaping companies prefer dark peat because of it's:
  ●  Structural stability;
  ●  Buffering capacity;
  ●  Higher content of humic acids.
Dark, more decomposed peat maintains physical properties for much longer time in comparison to light peat.

Peat structure

Our product range is developed on 3 basic peat structures:
  ●  0-6 mm. Fine, very clean structure, high water holding capacity. For propagation of ornamentals, vegetables from seed. Good for automatic seeding lines, modular trays, golf fields, hobby products;
  ●  0-20 mm. Medium structure, good for big variety of potting soils, universal substrates i.e. for plants in pots, containers, tubs, hanging baskets. Available options with no fibers for automatic potting machines, options with milled fibers etc.;
  ●  6-20 mm. High air capacity structure for long term pot plants, containerised trees and shrubs.
